What’s in my suitcase ? New Zealand Edition

Hello beautiful people!

I started writing this post on my flight to New Zealand but once we landed and started exploring  I’ve only managed to finish and update it today.  The flight to NZ took 3 hours but it went really quick. I was seated at 8F by the window, I had this view pretty much the whole flight, so calming !

As I promised, this post is all about what I packed for my one week adventure to Auckland, New Zealand.

I packed 2 bottoms, black high-waisted jeans from H&M and fleeced leggings from Macpac for the hikes in the cold (They feel amazing!) I also packed my long green scarf just incase.

2 long sleeve geothermal tops from Macpac to keep toasty and 2 normal tops from H&M for when i need to refresh the other 2 .

My Dori PJ top gifted to me by my lovely lady. She calls me Dori when I can’t remember things which happens to be most of the time. Victoria Secret Pink branded bottoms that I purchased from a market in Melbourne for $2 ( Always looking for a bargain hehe ). Then on the right nicely packed are my Pants, socks and sports bra. ( I reused the packet that my thermals came in instead of buying stuff sacks.)

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes! I wore my Hit-Tec hiking boots on flight day, defiantly need them for hiking. I also packed my flip-flops for walking around the house. I was a bit unsure whether to pack my trainers or not to give my feet a rest from the boots but in the end I didn’t take them with me.

Top left has all our toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and brushes. Top right has all the chargers we need such as laptop, phones, mini speaker and camera chargers. The colourful thing at the bottom is my swimsuit, can’t forget to pack it you never know when your going to find a cool beach or a water based activity!

On the right is my Macpac fleece hoody and a raincoat which my lovely work colleague lent me.  I also packed my down jacket and a towel for me and Katie to share but I forgot to add them to the picture, whoops.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, Leave your link down below if you’ve done a similar post, I’ll give them a peak.

    1. First time i’ve packed light to visit a country to be honest. I normally pack so much but from travelling around Australia i’ve learn’t that we really don’t need much. New Zealand is cold and a lot of walking otherwise i would have packed some dresses and nice shoes.
      Thanks for reading 🙂

  1. Love the dory shirt! I like the idea of the little bags you store stuff in. I usually use ziplock bags, going to have to look into something more like yours.

  2. Love the dory shirt! I also like those little bags you pack smaller things in. I usually use ziplock bags, I am going to have to look into something more like yours.

  3. Looks like you did a solid job packing a little bit of everything. I am a chronic over=packer and even if I go somewhere for a day, you would think I’m there for a week. Great job keeping your luggage compact.

    1. Haha thank you, I normally pack lots more than that for a week but only had half a little suitcase to fit my stuff in 🙂

  4. We don’t travel because I have parrots. But if I did travel I don’t think my husband would be one to travel lightly 🙂 but me, on the other hand, I would pack like you have it would make things so much easier.

  5. PAcking for a long trip takes a lot of forethought for sure. It’s a balancing act wanting to put in too much and not having enough. This is a great look about how much to pack for a trip. Love the Dory shirt. Very cute!

    1. Thank you 😊 Completely agree !when we came out to Australia we didn’t know what to expect so we packed 3 suitcases full between us, now we have a lot less between us as we’ve realised you don’t need much to travel.
