A few months ago I started reading after you by Jojo Moyes. The first book ‘me before you’ was so good I couldn’t stop thinking of the story and the characters in it, I didn’t want the story to end there. So when I got ‘after you’ I was so excited to read it. However, it took me a while to finish this book. I started reading it whiles we were travelling and camping from Sydney to Sunshine coast. I would read it pretty much every day until we finally came back to Sydney and started working.
I’ve always preferred to come home after work or an adventurous day and watch a random TV show or movie on Netflix, so I didn’t pick my book up for about 2 months but then I found another book I wanted to read so I had to find a way that would make me pick my book up and read it without taking away movie time. So I decided to read on my way to and from work instead of listening to music and sometimes if I wasn’t tired I’d also read before going to sleep.
Yesterday morning as I got off the bus and walked to work I was shocked, I had finally finished my book! Woohoo! *does a little dance* However, I got so into the book that the closer I’d get to the end I didn’t want it to finish but I must say it’s a great book and i seriously can’t wait until the 3rd book comes out. I still can’t believe how long it took me to pick my book up and finish it.
Today I’m going to start reading a new book called note to self by Connor Franta. He’s an American YouTuber which to be honest I didn’t realise until i researched him a few minutes ago. I came across the book in Big W when i was reading the blurbs to different books in the hopes I’d get some blogging inspiration. I flicked through the pages and i loved the look of it, i know i know, we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but it’s very hard not to, i like creative looking books. I’ll let you guys know when i finish this book (hopefully in a months time ) and what i thought of it.
Have you read Me before you and/or after you ? If you have Hi5! Let me know what you thought of it and if you’re going to read the 3rd book when it comes out.
